I'm torn between using the RX-8 in winter (my first year with an 04) or getting a beater....either way I am getting good winter tires....do people mostly get beaters here?

I would get a beater....its better for your 8 and maybe even easier on your wallet....

I'm thinking of picking up a 92 Suburu SVX..I found one for about $1500.00

SVX is no beater - SVX is a classic!

I love 'em, but a bit low for a winter beater.

Speaking of winter beater the rear wheel well lips on my 2004 are starting to rot from inside out. I already had it repainted two years ago due to surface rust. My mechanic tarred the crap out of it with underbody rustproofing stuff the same year. It's kind of pissing me off cause I have no idea how bad it will get.

I would have preferred a big "Burban" but couldnt find one for the right money. This Expedition can hold like 8 people plus tools etc and tow the race car like its not even there!
