Windsor anyone ???
You should totally come. Fisher, you need to come again. Hiflite came for the drive. I snapped two lugs on the way up. near catastrophe. an hour later was back on the road. On sat. I followed Hiflite down to Wayah/Tellico rd for a nice spirited drive. I enjoyed trying to keep up. Sunday/Monday tore up the dragon. Monday night I blew a tire in Wapakoneta Ohio and had to stay the night. I already booked my Vacation time for next year.
I didn't win any but I bought a rx8 scale model car from a fellow Ontarian, for my son. And IAN from Ont. gave me a malloy mazda racing hat/ I was a winner in the end.

Was it the right rear tire that blew? I should have lent you my doughnut spare in case it was damaged in the lug nut adventure. Must be some bad tire karma floating around - a wheel broke off my lawn mower this evening.
Coming back Sunday morning had a pretty good run on the Dragon, but tried the "Foothills Parkway" rather than taking 129 all the way to 411. It's not very curvy, but runs along a ridge, and that morning it was mostly in the clouds which was spooky fun. Went back through Indiana, stopped in on my aged family friends, who were celibrating their 65th wedding anniversary!
You do realize that driving 650 miles for the expressed purpose of driving in circles for 3 days, then driving 650 miles back, is completely nuts, right?
Crudsky. Hope you got on/off the flatbed without dinging anything. Kinda surprising it took that long to fail after damage, though better on I-75 than 2 meters from a cliff face in a switchback.

I probably will be there Saturday...I am going to bring my daughter I think. Last time she was at a race was the ALMS at Mosport 8 years ago...she enjoyed the ice cream and the Barbie car but once the race started the noise freaked her out and we had to leave.

I think the RX-8 has made her immune to noise.

We should have a meet @ Belle Isle next Saturday!
I hit a huge pot hole in Detroit last night and need to send my rear shock in to get rebuilt. fml. The rims were still good. (the pothole was so wide I just gunned it as fast as I could and blasted over it.) At least I didn't get murdered.
