Autorama this weekend????

 

Not me. I have time for a short meet but that's all.

I was at Autorama last year. I expected wall to wall billet and chrome. I was not disappointed. Then we ventured downstairs, and after an ultralame ricer collection, I saw rat rods for the first time. My world was rocked. Comically crappy cars (several with Lincoln V12s interestingly). Inventive uses of Pabst cans. Enormous turbos. A rockabilly band playing a punky version of "Ace of Spades". I thought the rat rods were way more fun than the high dollar art objects upstairs. Too bad none of them probably run...

 

the rat rods definitely run, I have been out with them before. Those guys and gals are really nice, they dress funny and have slick hair cuts.
We could never have rat rods in Ontario because of our laws; in Mi. anything goes.

 

Even the ones with turbos clearly taken from a Freightliner? Impressive!

In MiGwinty's Ontario, we can't do anything fun.

he wants 350 or so for a pair and they are 290 ish from koni

Koni wants 300$ + shipping for them. Then you have to order them from Europe and either wait 6-8 weeks or pay extra for shipping which is what I did. I got them from tirerack Then I had to pay tirerack to ship them to me. I paid 350$ so I am asking 350$.

This is aimed more for the Toronto crowd and not for people who can get them through border. To get them to Toronto is going to be more, shipping, brokerage, taxes...

Here is my confirmation email from tirerack:

You gotta take a break once in a while, power tripping is pretty stressing.

I have a pic of a cop driving the wrong way on Pellesier (one way street) besides my building. Turns in on a one way street and floors it, could have hurt someone getting out of the parking garage.
