What's a reasonable payment on a 07?

I am from Montreal - got a quote on a 2007 GT RX8 - with sunroof, and extended warranty of $675 per month for a lease of 48mths. This is the best deal I got after visiting 3 dealers.

Is this "reasonable" or can go much lower?

675$ seems like too much. I got mine new for 590$ taxes in 20k per year for 48 months.
You can probably find a GT on lease busters for about 550 taxes in.

Sounds a bit much. What does the Mazda.ca site tell you?

on the other hand, mazda does give better deals when the new model is here or about to arrive, right now the dealers hands are probably somewhat tied.

lease payments are dependent on a number of factors (down payment, residual value, km per year included, etc.)... it is better to compare the actual price of the vehicle than payments.

mazda ca is having a great sale on rx-8 buy/finance that leasing one doesn't make sense. You can pretty much finance one at the lease payment that you are paying on remaining 06s.

Why would you purchase an extended warranty on a lease?

I am paying 528 Taxes in / month on a 48 Month lease Term. 20,000 KM / Year allowance.

2006 GS Auto tranny White water pearl (I got the car last august)

0 Down, just walked in, made a deal with my regular sales guy and picked up the car with my first payment.

After working it back and checking around a few places, I saved about 4500 off list, which isnt bad. Plus he threw in extras like all weather mats / exhaust finishers / Tint / 3 oil changes free.

I will be buying a CX 7 Shortly and he is also giving us a good deal on it.

The numbers sound reasonable. Leasing will work better for some than for others. Your particular usage of the car will dictate which works 'better'.

Did you read before replying? The fourth word of the post said Montreal. The three before it said, I am from. Please don't spam your shameless plugs. Anyway, your quote looks like about $2500 off MSRP, am I right? Can you post the payment with/without QC tax so we can more accurately tell.. Most of your replies are from Ontario (14%) so it "looks" like a good quote to us, but maybe could be better.

Thanks for all the info you all posted - the price with tax is 675$ and without tax about 594$ plus 14% sales tax - I believe I am getting 2000$ off MSRP

I felt bad for paying as much as I do. Now I don't feel so bad anymore. I bought a used 2k5 8 with $4,000 negative equity. Total financing came to roughly 25k condsiderably lower than a brand new 8. I also got a rediculous interest rate at 10.5% but I really loved the car and signed away anyways. I pay $515/mth w/ gap ins but no extended warranty.

$32,995+ tax is the lowest I've seen of remaining 06 GT. Cash price.
