I'm going to the dealership later today to make an offer on an red 04 with 39K km...we'll see what I can get for that Hopefully I'll be the new owner of an RX8 today

If it helps, I bought a 2005 with 14,000 kms on it here in BC for $28,800. It was at a dealership who brought it in from California - all official. RX8 GT, leather, sunroof, auto, all the options except Sat Nav. I too didn't want to buy from a Dealer, but I think there's a lot to be said for buying from a reputable dealership and having a good history to go with the car. The car is like new and I'm very happy with it. The problem with going with an 04 is you're likely without the bumper to bumper warranty which is why I went for my 05 which still has another 1 year plus on it. Good luck.

 

i have a 2004 with 17,000kms on it. Im selling it for $24,000. It comes with 20" rims, mazdaspeed bumper, coilovers, fiberglass hood.

 

I am not sure how much the price varies between the 2 provinces, but I got my 06 with 30km (brand new basically) for $32,000 (before taxes) so for a used 05 with 20000+km you should be able to get under your price. Mine has sunroof too if that makes a difference .
