what kind of prices?

what kind of prices are you guys getting for your 8s?

ive been looking around, and talking to people that have 8s, and the difference between 04s and 05s is baffling me. even in the for sale forum, theres a guy in sarnia with monthly payments of 566$/month. guy at my work pays 562$ a month. both 04 GTs

im looking at an 05 GT and the prices are up in the 680-690 range!

whats the deal?

If they bought their '04 earlier this year or late last year (or even if they found one of the few still on dealer lots) the rebates were as high as $4500USD off. '04 GTs were going for as low as $24,000 (USD) at one time.

well, the guy nin sarnia says his lease is may 04 (i believe), and the guy at my work was june 04. and the guy at my work is actually paying 520$/month! with no down payment

i just priced one online, and its now up to 697$ a month on a 4 year lease.... that just seems really out of whack

Estimator Price
Province : Ontario
Sub-Total : $41,100.00
DownPayment: $0.00
Estimated Trade in Value: $0.00
Freight & PDE : $1,195.00
Mazda Added Protection : $0.00
PST : $3,383.60
GST : $2,960.65
Purchase Total : $48,639.25

48 months @ 4.90% = $697.29 (with a lease-end value of $19,221.10)

(all CDN$)

That might be about right with no down payment. The lease rates were higher last year than they are now.

I dunno, man. I gotta tell ya I don't see how they could have done it with zero down and no trades. It'd be more than 520/month is USD to lease a GT right now even with $2000 in rebates, let alone Canadian money.

Go to www.mazda.ca and build the car the way you want it, then go to price calculator and work out your lease. There is $2000.00 back right now I dont know if that will calculate into the payment. Once you have this baseline, you know what the retail payment is. The lease incentive on the "04 is no longer! The 05 will be cheaper to lease. My name is Alan Balinsky, I am the G.M. of Scarboro Mazda 416-752-0970. I have a deal for RX-7 / RX-8 club members of 2% above dealer cost, so that will save you from whatever the payment calculator tells you!

Just so everyone is aware, we offer 17% off parts, 15% off most service other than the basic oil change or 8km service, and new Mazda's at 2% over dealer cost.

OOps, sorry I forgot, $4000 down...still the appearance package alone is about $2000, so for me was a good deal.

even then, 600 a month is really good. and as i stated previously in this thread, people are getting 520 - 560 a month with nothing down... i dont see wht it has to be up around 700$/month now....

Me neither, when I was shopping for my 8, one dealer tried to sell me an 04 GT, with 7000km on it, for $5000 more than what I eventually paid for my 05 GT!!! Maybe they go a little "weird" when it comes to 04 RX8s!!!!!!!!
