I was in second at 3500rpm there was a a huge bang a cloud of black smoke, it felt like the car jumped right off the ground, doa. i was expecting to find a huge puddle under the car but there was nothing. So ive put the car back to stock and fingers crossed mazda will honor my warrenty

Okay, we have 10 people... My company's unionized employees maybe going on strike as early as the coming Monday. If that happens, I have to take up weird shifts and duties to make up for the striking employees to keep the company running; which means possibly weekends I would be working too.
Because of this, I will start the planning only after I find out whether they're striking or not which would be this coming Monday. If no strike, then I plan for a weekend.
Second issue. The last event of the evening, do you all really want to go to the stripclub for real? I could organize it and give everyone maps/locations, but I don't think I can go with you guys, which means my participation will end after CHAKO. The cleaner alternative is to get some bubble tea.

That is only if Rye_Guy volunteers to do a BBQ at his house. The run of activities will look something like this:
*** ROUGH IDEA ***
SUNDAY
12 to 1:30pm : Meet at McDonalds plaza at the corner of Valleymede and Hwy 7. This is near the intersection of HWY 404 and HWY 7. In this plaza there is McDonalds, I kinda like the idea of hanging out for a bit, shoot the ****, chat, and maybe eat a small meal in the parking lot or sit inside if you all want. Across the street is SHELL Gas station and on the other side is also a Tim Hortons. We can just hang back relax and chat for a bit; also give room for stragglers and people from afar that may have gotten stuck/lost in traffic. I find that sometimes 30 minutes of waiting is not sufficient for the really lazy people. Time goes by pretty quickly too, so 1.5 hours isn't that bad and we can eat a small lunch there at McDonalds.
1:30 roll out to Southwood Rd 13 near WASHAGO, ONTARIO... approximately 1.5 hours to get there.
3:00 Southwood twisties passing through Torrance then east to Gravenhurst back down on Hwy 11. Should finish around 4:15.
4:15 - hit up a nearby Shell gas station in Gravenhurst, rest for a bit, chat...
5:00 - Leave Gravenhurst, return to Richmond Hill for CHAKO BBQ, arrive around 6:15pm
9:00 - Finish dinner, head to bubble tea or stripclub (you guys vote)

I'm in with my GF under the following conditions.
I'll need a couple weeks of planning time; weekends fill up quickly and sometimes she has to work...
This coming weekend is completely full.
No way I can go to a strip club unless I want a new GF.
The cruise and the BBQ sound awesome.

Change the meet location to Weston and 7, either plaza with Collossus in it, by Timmies or across from there by La Paloma, bigger parking lot, plus right by Hwy 400, easy to find.
If Rye_guy volunteers BBQ, everyone committed should pass him a tener or something to that extent or we should drop by outage first, if we are carrying meat and food with us to store.
If no BBQ at Rye's, then I suggest Chako, strip club will be far from there but still doable, or we could head to a Honest Lawyer's for drinks in that plaza.

that sounds perfect andy. I'll likely be leaving after dinner, so i dont have a vote for bubble tea/drinks/strip club. I work 6 days a week, so staying out late on a sunday night would be very bad for me.
I totally agree with all the timing. 1.5 hours will fly by, it always seems to me in the past that it feels like we are rushing to leave at the time we planned on. albiet, most of those times we've been on a strict time schedule, but i like having a bit of time to chill and get caught up before the 1.5 hour drive to southwood.
also, if rye_guy does want to do the BBQ at his place, i dont like the idea of doing the cruise with food and drink in my car, i'll gladly pitch in for supplies, but i dont want to bring it with me. Maybe we can raid a grocery store near his place if it comes to that.
the more we talk about this cruise, the more stoked i am for it.

There are two ways to get to Washago. The uninteresting route (but faster) goes up 400 to Hwy 11.
The longer route, appears to be scenic essentially we're going to go straight up Leslie and trace the border of Lake Simcoe around Rama and then to Washago... but looking at the speed limits this might add an extra hour getting there.
What are your thoughts people?

hmm...i think my vote is for the scenic route, so long as there will be a coffee place along to way somehwere. busy highways can be pretty annoying in a convoy.
also, tenative date is a check for me.
as for the talk of police, dont jinx this guys. if previous drives are any indication, i think we will be fine. nothing to worry about. its another reason to take the scenic route though.

Looks like you guys have turned her off......probably with all the stripper and gentleman's club talk. Given her early response and the enthusiasm she expressed, you should try and woo her back in and help her with minor installs/fixes while you're hanging around,
