Hey just a quick question, what is the actual warranty for the 8 in canada / ontario, i have a 2005 with 55000 km on it, is that still covered under warranty?

Are you talking total warranty on the whole car? You're probably out.

Warranty on the engine is 8 years or 160,000 kms, so obviously you're still good on that.

 

body warranty on the 8 is 5 years.

 

Ok thanks guys, Im only asking cause i just bought the car and went to mazda to certify the car and they told me that the warranty is totally done. just wanted to see if they were screwin me around.

 

i was told i had no warranty on my car when i bought it from a mazda dealer and when i got the vin checked out turns out i had a full bumper to bumper extended warranty.

 

Where did you go to get the VIN checked to see if it had an extended warranty?

The standard warranty is listed in the owner's manual. An extended warranty would have separate paperwork, but it might show in Mazda's system if you bought such a plan (unless you bought a third party extended warranty, which is generally not advisable). The extended engine warranty from Mazda came in the mail to owners a year or so ago, I think, but Mazda should have that on file since they issued it according to the VIN.

Unless you bought the car in late November or December 2005, you're done.

 

Why is that? My 3rd party warranty has paid for coils twice, fuel pump, and a $2,000.00+ ABS unit.
