Upkeep on mods?

So I am definitely hooked and into the early phase of mod fever. Since getting a black, 6speed GT /w performance package (CAI, rear deflectors, spoiler, rotary crests, mazdaspeed rims) a couple weeks ago in Ottawa, I have added the following:

- mazda front air dam
- mazda front deflectors
- mazda rear side skirts
- eibach pro-kit springs
- clear corners (coming)

Now I am debating over a different spoiler or Borla exhaust. And here's my question ... some of these mods might need to be replaced some day, right? For instance, I live in London and take frequent trips to Ottawa and there can be lots of snow and ice, occasional tree branches in the road, pot holes, etc. I really want to get the Borla but what if I run over something that scrapes the crap out of my muffler or pipes? In the past, before I wanted mods in other cars, a muffler was just a muffler. If I damage this one, I'd need another borla right? Is this an issue with many people, having to replace an expensive add-on?

I chose the mazda exterior parts because I knew they were readily available and I frequently drive in snow and didn't want a kit that was too extreme (and expensive) for my driving conditions. And in case I crack the air dam or something, I can live with that for a while. But as one adds exhausts and engine stuff (not CAI), I imagine we will all have to replace certain parts and maybe have to go through the long and expensive process of ordering things like new exhaust from the US into Canada. I'll DEFINITELY try to drive carefully, but how freaked out should I be about having to replace a Borla that I don't even have yet but really want?!

Help me chill and convince me to just do it....please.

I have lots of mods and drive my car 40,000km+ a year. Its been through 2 winters already, and now 2 summers. I have never yet had a problem with the mods in the winter. I don't do that bodykit crap, but the OEM mazda stuff should be okay anyways.

Juergen,

Ok thanks. First time I've been this serious about mods so I'm a bit paranoid.
