I own a 2004 I had a new Engine installed in NL,When I got it back the first night I had to tow it...The crankpos sensor had fallen off.....I checked it when I got it back had a 301 code.....Bought it back 300.00 later told coils and plugs
even though the ones on it were brand new!!!Replaced coils cleaned up plugs and changed out from rotor to rotor...Still getting 301 and its running bad...Its unreal If I put it in there It will cost a fortune and not be fixed!!!!!!Any suggestions

 

Try the two resets (in the tech forum.)

The ECU may just still be freaked out by not seeing an eccentric shaft signal.

 

Unreal brought it back to dealer ...engine replaced a month ago gone again!!!

I haven't seen after only 800km's! But, it's not completely unusual.
Mazda uses re manufactured engines when they do replacements. So, sometimes the parts aren't great.

 

I tried to get a rental what a run around...........I will never buy a Mazda Again...........

Yeah the rental thing amazes me, some fight tooth and nail and do not get one and then others (like me) get one no problem.
