Tail pipe cleaning
Read somewhere in here that these should be cleaned periodically. Did so with a towel yesterday, but the chrome is a bit discoloured on the lip where the soot was.
What should I be using?

hello.
i keep referring to this thread for advice about the "smoot" as they call it.
everyone has a variation on how they clean it though so not sure which works best. gonna try the chrome polish stuff tonight myself - it'll be the first time i clean my 8 - got her last weekend!
good luck.

Here's my thread from way back in the day here.
I think we've all come to the conclusion that:
a) It can't be prevented
and
b) It wipes off in one swipe with a clean cloth if you keep on top of it every few weeks

"Always thinking!" [Benny Hill]. Learn something really useful almost every time I visit 'The Club'. I tried Meguire's Paint Cleaner, followed that with their polish. 'Gunk/smoot' came off without much rubbing. Thanks everyone for the motivation to get out and do it.
