Strakes and mat pegs

The good news. After a year, I finally got my mat peg. (although for a while at the dealership today, they once again "didn't have any", despite that fact that I specifically called two weeks ago and requested that this be dealt with today). They took one from another car. Voila - Raquel is now fully dressed.

The bad news. As Sham noted a few meets ago, my drivers side top strake isn't quite level. I asked that this be corrected, as they were dealer installed. They tell me today, that they glue them on, and would destroy it if they tried to remove and level it. In their opinion, it really wasn't that far off and thus not noticeable. But it bothers me.

Any suggestions as to how I should go about dealing with this issue?

Glue them on? That doesn't sound right.

???? if they glue them on I'm going to be pissed off.. THey told me they have to remove the vent thingy and replace with another vent with the strakes on.. If they glue them, that means I've been completely ripped off on labor..

Cuba, so glad to here about the pegs and upset to here about the strakes. Here is how they do it. They take out the vents, drill two holes in them, feed the screws in, then peel off the 3m tape on the strakes them selves and STICK EM to your car when they put the vent back in. As of what you should do? go to the dealership and rase some **** there. They installed them improporley thus they need to be fixed on the dealer's expense if anything is dammaged. Those things are freikin expensive! But thats just what i'd do. Good luck sweety

actually if they are anything like the aftermarket versions you don't even need to drill them.

welcome 1CLo

Workout, or hang with 8'ers? I guess it was a tough choice.

Welcome to the cult!

Hey BallysBoy,
Welcome and enjoy your 8.
Any stuff you want to know, do a search, because pretty sure it has been talked about before, if not, just ask.
