the new hyundai genesis coupe is pretty attractive to me. and I ve heard mazda will make a better rotary car in next few years which will be a good car to buy i am expecting. but hope its not gonna be the one being sold in Japan now, i dont like it.......I like the mazda concept(forget the name) shown at seven stock, If thats gonna be the next generation of rx8 or rx7, then its time to start to save money$$$$

The Genesis coupe is not bad I guess. But the it's a first gen RWD platform that's yet to be proven. The exterior of the production is sort of a letdown to me, after they showed the tuned concept one awhile back (the orange one).

welcome sleekgrey! good to hear that you really enjoy it, so do I. But a good suggestion is that before you buy any mod for the 8, make sure you do a lot search first....there is enough info that you need I think....

Hey SleekGrey, welcome! You know you'll have to come out for our meets! We need other colors than blue and copper red. I usually buy my parts from the internet or from Tunerworks.

The price on internet for the MS CAI is about 370USD, BEFORE shipping. So the price Mazda gave you seems decent to me. Though I think it's on sale at one of the vendors right now for $340.

Hi sleekgrey, I'm new here as well and also drive a 04 Ti Grey 6 speed. When i went to Sunrigde mazda in Calgary they told me that Mopac auto supply would have some good aftermarket stuff. I still havn't dropped by to check them out but i plan to later this week. They are located on 16th just a bit West of Centre ST. They do have a website but it did not look very impressive to me. Sunridge mazda quoted me about 750 for the dual cansiter MS exhaust(not installed).

You can look through the vendors and group buys sections for other deals.

But here's the link to the MS CAI...actually $329! Not $340.

Anyone with a mazdaspeed body kit here? I've been thinking of getting one, but haven't seen one in person yet. Expensive things to buy with only seeing pics. I'm interested in other styles, but again, only have seen pics. Is a meetup scheduled anytime soon so I can check out peoples body kits?

There is another fellow here with a MS kit with a yellow 8. I'm supposed to help him install the foglight and bumper sometime this spring...

Rhodes, here are a couple more pictures for your decision making:

I believe you'll be able to see the whole album by clicking the next/prev buttons at the top right.

it might be the time to start up a new meet during this summer after our school is done. there will be more people coming than last time hopefully. if there can be something more to see or to experience than just cursing around, it will be more interesting.

^ No way! Unless the roads are paved. I went last year with my 8 and drove on the constuction zone (ie. no roads just gravel and potholes) for about an hour. After that my car has never been the same... it rattles like an 80's Hyundai.

HAHAH, are you serious? I never drove my 8 there, but I remember tons of roadkill (err...bugkill I mean) on my 02 Altima after I got back.

I think last meet's roads were pretty cool. Need more roads like that!

Thanks SlowLude, nice pics by the way. I'm still undecided, i gota look into other kits too i think. Does the mazdaspeed kit come painted? I'm thinking other kits may be cheaper but have to be painted.. i'm not sure. Any good places around Calgary selling them? I'm definatly up for a spring ride if anyone else is too.

A cruise down to drumhellar or west towards the mountains would be a blast in the summer on a nice day
