I got a stock 8 and I was looking into making some mod to it for this summer. Does anyone knows any good tunning shop in ottawa/hull that can handle the rotary or do I have to go all the way to khan motorsport in Toronto??

I bet if you made a short trip to Gatineau (old school one) you'd find some shops, it seems to be a bigger trend to 'tune' cars there.

Couldn't tell you otherwise, mine's been vanilla, bone, stock since day one. Will make a nice canvass for someone's "artistic" touch someday.

 

True, there are more "tuned" cars in Gatineau (as in "secteur Gatineau", not Hull or Aylmer.) OTOH, the "tuned" cars tend to be "riced" cars. I see a LOT of shitty late 80s/early 90s civics with more rust than metal sporting cheap-*** unpainted body kits, cruising with thumping bass that's rattling every shitty old rusted panel.

My point is that yes, there are bound to be tuner shops in Gatineau, but be VERY careful when choosing one.

What kind of mods are you looking to do? Suspension, brakes etc. are the same as any other car, and I'm sure you could find some shops on either side of the river to help you. As for rotary specific mods, from what I've seen by lurking on RX7club.com, there isn't much in the way of rotary tuning shops around here. However, there are a number of knowledgeable rotary owners in the area, and maybe they'd be willing to help you out. Try posting on rx7club.com.

 

Ricers .. lol that really not the kind of mods I'm looking for ..

I did look around the ottawa/gatineau region but I was unsuccesful finding anything .. No one seems to want to do anything serious on the rotary engine in the region... If it was just for cai and exhaust I'd do it myself cause I don't think you need to change anything to the computer settings. But I was more looking into putting a small turbo to my car. Getting it to ~230-240 rwhp would be nice.

Anyone knows serious shop for rotary in Ottawa/Gatineau or maybe Montreal region even .. I just don't go to Toronto enough to go to Khan... But if I absolutly have to I will... I'll also try to post on rx7club.com to see if anyone knows there ..
