I meant in general I get there ad emails, but ya,I got a hold of someone and got the email and link.

If we're taking 7 down, just set up meet points at 400 and Hwy 7 for Vaughan Woodbirdge and other people coming from Sauga, Oakville, Hamilton, Brampton and so forth. They can trek it down, and the rest could meet up at the former Office Depot at Woodbine and Hwy 7. Its on your passenger side, so won't be hard to get back into traffic. This location is where Fire and Ice is. There's a Tim Hortons near Ninth Line and Hwy 7. I'll be there with guys from that side of Markham, so Rick, if Chris/Rev wants to come up, Jay/RevRX8, anyone else from Scarborough, Mornningside Area. And continue the cruise from there. We can tweak up the meet pointsN keeping it to the driver side would make sense, so people can merge back to the main road quickly. That's why I excluded that Shell Station at Woodbine and Hwy 7, and Markville Mall, and the plaza at Weston and 7.

I can plan it out on Thursday if you like. Last time Mazda Canada got involved was MOTM 2007 which they partnered with CSCS at Cayuga, and it was pretty fun, and I planned a cruise with a few guys in Markham at the time.

Pretty sure you can come for one day, or two or three. It's an open pass.

Which gets to my next question?

Who's camping, and if so which days.

Sounds good, I still have my access to rx7club, so I could post both official threads on both sites.

I will more than likely meet you guys at the track. I live too close to the track to be coming down only to go back up. It'll be a waste of fuel.

Footman I will only go if my contacts at Mazda Usa ask me to attend. While I will always support the RX8 and RX7 clubs as they have always supported me in the past the only reason reason I am still racing a Mazda product is financial (meaning its the car I have and cant afford another one lol). My everlasting memory of MCI is when one of the now directors told my dealer principal that I was too "concerned with racing and not selling cars" because they didnt see the tie in from the car clubs etc to vehicle sales.

Toyota and Scion are where my alligiances lay, they have been totally supportive of my endeavors and I can have an open discussion with them without being labeled as negative. When I ask Scion for a vehicle for an event they immediately open their inventory of company vehicles and ask which one we need.

If you're still racing a Mazda, and with your first-hand account of the lack-of-support from MCI and your total positive experiences with Toyota and Scion, I would say that out of anyone going to this meeting, you would have the most valuable feedback to provide, and the most to gain from all of this.

I hope you come, this seems you be your chance. I'd say it maybe wouldn't be worth your while, but you're still racing a Mazda, this is for you.

Agree to the above. Al you should definitely go and make a statement. Maybe they will hear your story and then offer you sponsorship to further your racing.

Guys I really do appreciate your support as usual. I somehow dont think that Mazda Canada really wants me there and it is not the right forum to discuss what once was. I spent 22 years of my life and career supporting the underdog, stayed with them when they had nothing and no market share. My reward for my loyalty was what I said above. Like I said they had their chance to work with me, we sold (mostly to you guys) a ton of Mazdaspeed parts, gave some respect back to the dealers and I got the "statement" lol.

Well, at this event, you have Mazda on a plater. Sounds like they know they've screwed up and are asking for help. Take this as their last chance, their moment of weakness, they're at your knees, asking for help. If they don't listen, they don't take THEIR iniative seriously, than yes, hope would be lost with them. Everyone makes mistakes, maybe they FINALLY realised theirs.

Al, I still think you should persevere and come and speak up... I have something to say to Mazda as well. I want them to bring the B-spec Mazda 2's here and try to setup a program where the average person that wants to race can easily get into racing. The B-spec Mazda's are the cheapest ticket to racing I believe.

Al it's unfortunate that you won't be there, it sounds like your experience with Mazda is important to bring up, you have your reasons and thats cool. If you know someone who is coming that knows your experience well enough or if there is someone who you feel can carry your experience to the meet it would be great. If you don't mind of course.

Let me know when you guys are going to the track. I'm thinking about going even though I didn't receive the e-mail. I haven't seen a lot of you in a while. So what better time then to hang w/friends.
I'll see if I can make it

Have you guys received a confirmation on this?
I filled out the form the link directed me to, but no confirmation.
I'm driving from Windsor so it would be an unfortunate, "sorry bud but the network was down" situation.

There was a confirmation page after you submitted the information - it said to expect the t shirts and tickets before July 16 2011 - and if you haven't gotten it by then to email them.

Has anyone gotten the stuff in the mail yet? I'm still waiting.
