ON provincial autoslalom event 1 - video

I was the only RX-8 there. Last year, there was a white one. Are you on the forums?

I never done any video editing on the computer so I wanted to try it out. I played around with iMovie and put together a video that cuts to different camera angles. I only have one camera, so the footages were taken from different runs. The navi gave it away..

I wuz at the Picton (Sunday) and Barrie provincial events last year. Sadly I'm out of action for this season.

I think the white RX-8 is ScubaSteve8 on this forum.

Nice vid. Never seen auto-slalom at DDT before - which is already pretty tight in some configurations.

Question re: steering wheel - what did you do? I want to use gloves but they don't feel right with the stock leather - yours looks like suede.

Yeah, I know what you mean about the slippery stock leather with gloves. I have the AutoEXE buckskin steering wheel wrap installed. Suede on buckskin makes an extremely grippy contact point.

I highly recommend it, except it took me about 7 hours to install it. A lot of stitching involved...

Why is that? BTW: Wosca has an event this Sunday.

I'm also just going for the Sunday's event at Picton this year. I'd love to go for both days but unfortunately schedule does not allow.

It was a great event. Too bad I didn't have the car set up as I would like but I should have it set up by Picton. I'll be there for both days.
