Price difference

Ive been looking around a lot at all the dealerships in edmonton, and everywhere i look its about 41000 for an 09 R3, whereas in the states you can get it for around 30000.

Has anyone here whos bought new gotten a deal anywhere close to the US price?

(right now 30 000 US is about 32000 CA, so paying anywhere close to what dealerships want would suck *****)

It's due to a bunch of things. Just like how our gasoline costs more at about the same ratio.

41k at this time of year is high. In previous years, Mazda has thrown large discounts (highest I've seen is 12k) at these cars in the fall, I don't see why this year would be any different. I recommend you get a Carcostcanada report on the car. Any factory to dealer discounts shown should be directly passed on to you. If the discount isn't that great right now, wait a couple weeks until October (Mazda updates discounts every month, usually around the 1st of the month.)
