P2070 error seems to be solved (thanks Silver06 and Dannobe):

Hello, just a thank you to Dannobe and Silver 06 (and others) who helped me solve this problem with my RX8. Greatly appreciated!

I used a bottle of Redline S1 and also ran the engine to 7k rpms several times on Saturday and kept the car indoors - heated parking. After starting the engine today - no engine light! Very, very happy - I will join the BC RX8 club next month.

It looks like I may have saved a $650 plus repair bill (dealer said to replace the Solenoid (sp)).

drive it in 2nd gear on the freeway for a few minutes..... hold it between 7000 - 8500rpm.. that's what I do sometimes for fun..... you can get SUPER FAST lane changes!!!

It freaked me out the first time that happened to me. I kind of wish the electric power steering is always that hyper.

yah, it's so awesome, driving between 6000 and 9000 rpm, this car feels like a ferrari. It's so hyper and ultra-responsive with every little push of the gas pedal...

I wish the next generation rotary engine has something like a 18,000 rpm redline. That would be truly revolutionary (pun intended!)... it would be for once that a passenger car has revs reaching that of F1 engines and motorcycles. It would totally separate us from the rest of the high performance piston engine cars too cause those are now all reaching 9000 rpm (S2000, Lamborghini's and F430's, GT2's)

I just got this code after leaving my car in the cold for 2 weeks while I was on vacation in Vancouver. Is this not covered under the new powertrain warranty?
