Here's the video I took at Mosport. Ignore the commentary and it'll be fine.

Good video man...and you were right on the belt lol.
One thing tho, you shouldn't be that far behind the guy in front of you and the same with the silver guy in front of you. That's how everyone gets spaced out, slower and problems start.
Now where is the vid of the spin out?!?!

I just choose to run further back at that point as I had no pressure to keep the pack behind me close.
Plus with previous experience and the fact that nvx was kicking the car out everytime he passed 5b. I had my reasons..
To bad I couldn't zoom in... I would have got your car smoking. As soon as I hit turn 5 I could smell your car (antifreeze) and was looking up a head for a blown motor. Glad to hear it's not. If I had more memory on the camera I would have filmed more (and caught the spinout). Time to get a 8 or 16gig SDHC card soon and a decent camera mount
ed more.
MyRxBad,
Great vid. It's not so slow this time around. Actually looks like it picked up rather nicely. Except for the thrown belt and the small spin later on. I'm still wondering how anyone can spin out during a free "parade" lap. Weird.
I wish I could've been there. But I was too busy celebrating my b-day up by my parents place.

The black FD really held us back... essentially the "second" group of cars that were packed together were...
Rotorwhee
Rotarygreg
Rotarymike
myself
were stuck behind the FD

I was right behind the FD. I left a larger gap than I should have however I lack skill, courage to make up for skill and it looked like he wanted a bit of space.
In his defense, I was talking to him after everyone else left and his car isn't tuned, one turbo isn't working and he wasn't prepared for the pace everyone was going at.

I know why my 8 way acting weird last week at mosport, I must not have tighten my oil cap all the way. I found it lodge in the engine bay today after checking my oil at a fill-up this morning, only down a eighth of a quart. Don't know how long it been off but I topped up Saturday before Mosport. No CEL's is this normal? I'll get the oil change next week just in case.
I was the last of the pack and STILL thought the pace was good.... I just lack the skills to keep up with you guys that's all...lolz

Hey guys, I was the black FD. I made a few posts on the RX7 Forum regarding the days event. I have resolved the turbo issues now ( just dyno'd 290HP on a mustang dyno yesterday ).
Even with the boost issues 99% of the reason I didn't keep up was the driver (lack of experience). It was my first time out on any track, and took every turn wrong. I had a great time and learned a ton from the days events and just watching some videos of people driving the track.
I had never intended on tracking my 7 but after mosport I might have been bitten by a bug. I will likely be taking a course in the spring time so I can learn a few more things.
Thanks for setting this up guys it was a blast.
