Well I’m assuming your going to continue down the 401 heading towards London, I can meet you at the Tillsonburg turn off which is #218 there’s car pool parking there, but I’m curious of how much the van rental is going to cost, may be cheaper for me to just drive my focus to the car show.

Alright, I got the calculations regarding the van rental.
That's not going to happen! lol
It's simply too expensive to rent a van for the time we're going to use it.

The problem is the rental forces you to rent the vehicle for the weekend. Part of their weekend special deal.
It's affordable for a full size car. But once you get into van's and trucks, the price escalates!

A full size car will only cost us $11 a head. Not too much and it saves your car from access mileage. But a Van would start costing $40 a head. Which defeats the purpose.

The full size car will be a tight squeeze for 5 people. Even the "premuim" size only gets you something like a Buick Allure or a Dodge Magnum. Still a tight squeeze for 5 people.

Just squeeze everyone into your RX-7 for 7 people.

nate340,

Well, if you don't mind driving, we can definitely hook up in Kitchener and just take the van.

This way we don't have to rent a vehicle. I can just take the 3 over to Kitchener and meet up with the rest of the people.

Everyone cool with that?

Sounds like a plan then.
I'll drive down, pick up Agent008, Footman, Darkbrew, and then meet the rest of the gang at the Kitchener meet point.

No kidding!!
It's like planning a full out war or something.

We want to be in Detroit by 11ish.
Which means I have to leave my pad by about 6:30am or so. Pick up Agent008 around 7:10ish. Move on down to meet you. How long does it take to get from vaughan to kipling station?? 20-30min's?

by then we should meet up with Hevnsnt out by Kitchener around 9ish or so???

Hevnsnt, what do you think? Give me a time to shoot for. This way nate would know when to show up as well.

1hr is about right. It will be a long day guys. Also, smaller group is better as we will all get lost anyway. We might want to split up into smaller groups at the show too. It will naturally happen anyway.

8am McD's on Homer Watson Exit, Kitchener. See you's then.

Hevnsnt,

I think we met up around 9am in Kitchener last time??? I'm pretty sure that's what the time was.

No worries. I can always leave a bit earlier.
I don't know how long it takes to get from Vaughan to Kipling station. That's the only downside. Picking up Darkbrew is not a problem. He's along the way...

I'm pretty sure we'll be inside the autoshow for 11:30ish or so.

Let's say I leave my place for 6am then. I should be by Agent008 around 6:30ish.
So I should be at Kipling station for 6:50ish or so?

Darkbrew, send me your address so I can plot how long it takes to get to your place from Kipling station.

PM sent with map.
You should pick up Footman at Yorkdale station. That would be much easier than Kipling.

Yes, Darkbrew has made a good suggestion.
Footman, if you can meet us at Yorkdale that'll save alot of time. This way we don't deviate too much from the highway.

Hevnsnt,
I have 3 with me. And then we're meeting up with nate around your place. So that's 5 in the van. You taking your friends car or are you going to go in the van as well??
I don't recall a winstar being that big. lol
