Hey guys, I been having a lot of trouble with my alternator. It likes to fry my batterys after a while. I set out yesterday to fix this by changing that bad boy. So I went to canadian tire and picked up a rebuilt alternator which cost an arm and a left leg.

Now I set about changing it,low and behold it doesnt fit, the new alternator has smaller cast iron backet at the bottom of it where it bolts onto the top of the engine. Now I was wondering if anyone has seen this before? My car is from the states, I don't know if they have a different alternator then the canadian ones. Or is it because I went to canadian tire and should try another place.

Let me know if you have any idea's some people said I didn't hammer in the bushing but I did and I compaired the old vs the new with my eye and I could tell it was an easy 1/8 inch smaller maybe even closer to a 1/4.
