First I've heard of this, and I've owned Mazdas for 10 years. So I repeat jpw's question: what's it all about?

It get's you a discount off the lease or finance rate. I got 1/2 a point off my lease rate on my 8 as a repeat Mazda buyer (every bit helps!). Ask for a full point - everything is negotiable! The details are on www.mazda.ca under the promotions link. It will reduce your 60 month finance or 48 month lease rate on an '04 to 3.4% - not bad considering I got my car last November at 7.9%!!

Good luck,

Steve

When I picked up my 8, as a repeat buyer I received 1/2 point off in interest, no security deposit and not admin fees from mazda or the dealer.

It pays to negotiate, never thought of another 1% off of rate thought, good idea.

Owner's royalty program can be applied on any Mazda vehivle, as long as you are a current lease/ finance customer with Mazda...

On some other models, Mazda does offer royalty cash bonus or 0.5% reduction on the interest rate.

$1000.00

Found out the answer - Got a thousand bucks rebate against the price of my new 8 from Mazda Canada, just for being a current Mazda customer.

Mazda offers a $1000 dollar rebate on "sports cars" for buyers who are currently Mazda customers ( you're driving a Mazda you bought new from a Mazda dealer and you're back to buy/lease another one)

All you have to do is sign a form listing your current vehicle with VIN and the new one with VIN and tell Mazda where to send the money - to you or directlly tothe dealer.

Easiest 1K I've ever made!!!

Kinda got the feeling you had to do it at the time of purchase... but what the hell, call your salesman.
