I have chosen titanium with black leather but it is not available here. I do not like tan.

Thus, I might get blue with black leather.

What have the others in Canada chosen ?

From Mazda.ca it doesn't seem as you can get silver with red leather or black with tan leather inserts. You guys sure about those colours being available.

Seems as though the poll pretty much summed up all options but missed yellow.

You're correct about silver with red/black interior not being available, but wrong about the Black - check mazda.ca again! The tan/black interior is available with two of the exterior colours - Titanium and Black.

Yes my mistake, very sweet, although I think I like titanium the best still.

Yellow with yellow leather would rock!

 

When I put my cash down (March *2002*) It was for the sweetest ride I'd ever seen - Yellow with Yellow Leather!
O.K. reality sets in, I must have been SERIOUSLY deluded if I thought the yellow leather would ever see production.
So that leaves the only option for a Canadian Yellow/Loaded as Black. No no no, Have you SEEN the space that back seat occupants are in? Deep seats for headroom, a really high beltline for style and side impact, non-opening doors and the back windows are four inch square 'prison-washroom-pop-out' types.
It wouldn't be fair to put even kids there for longer than a Quicky-Mart run. You had better check peoples clautrophobia history before they get in!
ANYWAY, to lighten it up a little, it has to be Titanium as exterior.
Titanium, I am just realising, is grey.

Scared myself silly, went down to dealer to change to Titanium, and the guy told me it was "the same colour as that Mazda6 over there - Titanium." OMG it was very dark, more like a mettalic black, but the other salesman jumped in and gave me a brochure of the Miata SE which only comes in Titanium and is a much more reasonable shade... A quick search around the net shows the colour better and puts me more at ease..particularly the Geneva picture in the Euro Forum, beautiful!

So I guess I go, reluctantly, in the Tit/Tan column.

EDIT - RX8ER thinks its Black leather with Tan inserts? Don't think so, It's black cloth with Tan leather 'seat middles' and plastic Tan door trim.( At least that Ribbed Rubber Cloth option never saw the light of day!)

 

... although i'm not getting the car, i think that my ideal choise would be the "base" model, 6 speed, black, with black cloth... then in at the dealers, if i at all could, i'd get the LSD installed too ... but again, i'm not gonna buy the car .

 

Even the base model with 6MT gets the LSD, it's a Tochigi Fuji Sangyo ( not the late model RX7's 'Torsen') but only in Canada spec!!
So it is possible to get cloth, no options, and still pick up the LSD - time for a re-think?

 

OK, I am not sure what it is you think you are getting here; in fact RX8ER was correct.

For the Titanium car with a leather interior, the seats are a combination of black and tan. How much of the seat is leather and how much of it is vinyl, I don't know. I would assume that as per most leather seats these days, the side areas are vinyl/leatherette (not cloth, as you have posted), and the main seating areas (inserts and bolsters) are actual leather. And yes, the door inserts will be vinyl/leatherette.

Make no mistake, the interior of the Titanium car is black with tan inserts, not just tan. The interior of the Black car has the same interior as the Titanium car, so if you want to lighten up your interior without going for the titanium grey exterior, you can choose a black exterior.

All of the colour combos are excellently displayed at mazda.ca, under 2004 RX8 (wait for it to load, then click at the top where it says "It doesn't only come in yellow...").

Since there seems to be some confusion regarding interior/exterior colour choices, here:

Man, what was mazda thinking, not bringing out the yellow leather interior? That would have sold like hot cakes! Instead the put that awful ugly tan(ish) interior! Geeze...

I don't care for red cars, but I love the red/black leather int.

But if I had to make a choice, it'd probably be the titanium w/the black leather int.

He's an American who hasn't figured out that the Canadian forum is discussing the options and colour combinations for the Canadian version of the RX-8 :p
