There is definitely a divide between the "eastenders" and the "westenders"... the problem is high gas prices thats preventing the two sides from meeting each other that often.
No one really wants to go to a Friday night parking lot meet and spend $20 on fuel going there and back. That's the issue, and the centralized meets aren't working either because it just means EVERYONE is spending $10 - $15 on fuel just to get to a parking lot meet with a $1.40 coffee from Tim Hortons..
Sad but true
The only way to make things worthwhile is something special, like an epic photoshoot that lasts 4 hours with sit-down restaurant food late night, or a club-wide go-kart event, or something cool like an epic cruise to Haliburton area.

ive been trying to make the meets fair by wanting to do 1month eastend and 1month westend. Ill make the trip to the eastend. but then everyone complains and doesnt wanna come to the westend. Come On. A cruise up weston Rd and Ruthorford? thats not a cruise, all the nice roads are up here, We got the forks of the credit and lots of nice scenic routes. would be nice to have that atleast once or twice a year.

I usually don't post in the meet forums, unless I go. But this whole gas thing has really got me bewildered, I guess no one will be going to ALMS at Mosport because of GAS Prices. Oh yea, I forget that's free tickets & a free dinner, so most will show. Isn't this whole gas price thing a bit lame. Did you all buy a rotory because it was good on gas, but it's all show and no go and why would we drive it! IMHO, sorry I probably **** a few of you off, but the truth hurts.
Here is my 2 cents, if there is a purpose for the meets; like the wash & shine meets that Footman & Maffu organizes OR the install/fix meets that Jay & Scott use to have....it was great!!!

Mmmm ...... I guess I'm right from the lack of response. My 7 on Friday when I go lapping for 4 hour will use close to 75 liter just at the track, plus premix, and another half a tank there and back home. But with high gas price maybe I just stay home and go to the local timmy's and take a few pictures of my car. F#@K that I bought the car to drive it not look at it! Thanks 2hit6 for actually reading my post.

Install meets were great, but Thunder and I got most of our installs done. I am going to be putting in a coilover kit soon, so who knows, might hold a meet if there is demand.
No way I can hold a wash and shine at my place, number of cars plus hydro bill, parents would kill me! However, there is a really good coin wash by my place.
I picked up some new camera gear which should be arriving soon, specifically umbrellas for my flash units, so if people wanna get together for a night photoshoot, I am down!
