whats better?... the AEM cold air intake or the K & N Typhoon 2?

 

This thread is for meets and not for discussion of intake bud. Go ask in the general forum and get yell at for being lazy by not using the search function.

However, since I am in a good mood let me tell you this:
1) Performance wise, AEM cold air intake is the ONLY type of intake that has a reasonable assurance of performing better than the OEM intake system overall.

2) AEM cold air intake (and mazdaspeed ones since its the same ****) is prone to get snow / slush in Toronto winter driving and Footman can tell you how he got screwed in 2009 winter

3) The intake sounds sexy. K&N sounds even louder, HOWEVER, it will have a high chance of screwing up your MAF readings and performance since its a WARM air intake...

 

i pulled in at around 10. sat there for a half hour. 2 guys with v8s were talking headers. one hot chick in white shorts. so not all was lost. no RX8s.

holy crap! tonnes of awesome cars at the kennedy commons meet. i only stayed till 9 but didnt see any other 8s. parked beside a dude from barrie with a red LS2 FD. beautiful car. 430whp. selling for 30k. anybody else wanna meet up and cruise there next week?
