Schnipster, if you are just another guy its ok, but you got an rx8 and you love rotaries. You should be bette than that.

I met so many people of all ages linked because of the love of our cars (and rotaries). IT should transcend ages / gender / race / whatever the fck that you don't feel comfortable against.

eg. How Al(01Racing) became friend with us? Most of us here (esp the fobs, sorry its a fact) are not even remotely close to understand his culture/background, yet we all developed friendship through the love of car/rotary. All of us respected Al of his passion towards his car, the fact that he dedicated his time to us and his racing activities rather than just-another-souless-stealership PR...

Seriously man, what you said here its pretty sad. To me, if there are tons of rx8 around I don't care if they are gangster or hipsters. I will go say hi (if I am driving an rx8 of course).

Of course, I will call the cops and say illegal racing yo! (thats if they are all 350Zs lol)

Peace.

P.S: Good photos...now invest in a stand to make it less shaky! :P

i agree with what you are saying, but when we were young we frowned upon guys doing smokeshows and revving thier engines and zooming around the lot like a heat score..etc.....it made everyone look like idiots and resulted (always) in negative attention...sorry man just not my scene it completely turned me off...it was like going to a cigar lounge and having a guy bust out a joint.....not to say i wont join you guys again, honeslty no one came to me to say hello either..except for the first dude that showed up......

my buddy that was there is a former racer (like AL) he was impressed until that one rx8 had to come down the parking at 7 grand so everyone heard it, and then do a hot lap so everyone could see it.his comment was gay i thought you guys werent those kinda club idiots.

i guess i am just ultra sensitive to people drawing attention to themselves by doing stupid things...sorry man just my feeling

it was good to see decent turnout. nice pics too. i also was a little turned off by the 'negative attention' we recieved. i was sure that was a police chopper. is the police presence a regular occurance? we need to get these kids out to the track. its the only way to get the 'racing' off the street.

in nx04's defense, he only circled the parking lot cause he had to move his car to make room for footman

but nonetheless IMO driving like a maniac and racing should be kept on the track and off the streets.

and usually there aren't any police around for all the other meets that I've been to, maybe once or twice a police car pulls up to check out the meet and run all our plates up, but doesn't stop for anymore than a minute or two.

driving like a maniac is unecessary but yes i did push it a lil when switching spots but we all gotta get the carbon out once in a while

haha and the big meet at sherway cops were pulling everyone over didnt see one drive by pretty good imo

but back on topic

pretty good turn out it was fun better weather than last time

i think our record for an 8 meet is still 13 rx8s that showed up, pretty close yesterday, we got 8 there at one time. but all-in-all, definitely a good turn out

You mean the Promise Piano Bar meet back in 2009? lol

But the Mosport one with Al's racing (BEMC) is still the BEST EVER!
