Another successful meet... Eddie and I practically cruised back and there were some moments...
A) That epic fail 401 on-ramp when we were slowed to a crawl like 12 km/h going around the 270 degree turn to eastbound 401 from 404 southbound... I KNEW you were looking forward to some on-ramp high speed fun...
B) Once on the 401, another epic fail moment... I have never seen 4 dump trucks and 2 tractor trailers clumped together like that taking up all 3 lanes and slowing down traffic so much. Eddie lead way and cut a zig zag path the ZOOM ZOOM way through the trucks and I followed suit. Those trucks were almost like stationary pylons!

I had to wait so long for an opportunity to pass those stupid trucks. I can't believe we were practically merging on the highway at 50kph. That's just not safe. I don't even see many Corolla drivers doing that.
The ramp was a fail of truly epic proportions. I've never had to take the ramp that slow. Especially not at 1am.

Ugh...missing the last meeting really hurt actually, but I'm happy to hear it went well for the ppl that went
but anyways...
Guys,
I'll be leaving the rotary brotherhood for the next little while due to my family's business and my choice to travel overseas...(I will be back and forth, but in several month spans...3 months gone...2 weeks back, etc...for the next couple of years). The 8 is a car meant to be driven & i will not be able to give it the treatment it deserves while I'm away...
So one of my relatives has decided to buy the car from me, and I've mentioned for him to join the forum, so hopefully he signs up soon!
I want to thank all of you guys for your help & insights while having an RX-8, I can't say enough about the car and the joy it brought me. I hope the GTA RX-8 surge continues to grow, and the members stay as entertaining & interesting as they are right now.
I will continue to lurk the forum, but i want to wish you all the very, very BEST. As Al (01 Racing) said once at a dinner after 7 stock North...
"The car you guys drive is a reflection of the type of person you are, you guys are DIFFERENT..."
I couldn't have said it any better, keep the passion alive guys, ALWAYS.
Thanks again for everything,
-Peter "Phobi"
P.S. Some items will be going up for sale before i leave, I'll have them posted this week hopefully.

LOLOLOLOLOL!! Just wanna say hello to Rx-8 owners here in the GTA. Im gonna be a proud owner soon! (By fall! -September). Half a year to go! LMAO!. Just wanna get to you know guys so i could ask some advice from people who already owns and drives an rx-8.
Im thinking of getting an 06 or 07 by next fall. My budget will be 15k. Is that good enough?. I don't like the 04-05 models coz i have read and heard that they have a lot of issues. I'm from Scarborough by the way.

I would like to start at meet once a month on a friday. My good friend owns a bar/lounge/club. Let me know if you are interested so i can set something up. The location is at 88 Yorkville. I can also ask my friend if he can reserve parking in front of the bar.
