Smile Looking for body shop to install MS Body Kit - Calgary

Hello everyone!

I'm just wondering if you can recommend a reputable body shop that can paint and install the MS body kit parts I ordered online. The kit is authentic and it was ordered at Online Mazda Parts. I'm not sure if the Mazda dealers in town would install the parts since they were not ordered from them. I know that some of you have the MS body kit so I would appreciate it very much if you could help out. I know that Slowlude installed the bumper himself and he got a body shop to install the sides but he also told me that he could not recommend the body shop he used. Anyway thanks for your help in advance.

Cheers.

Damn you Perodogo!! Now I can't be special! Mind if I ask how much you got the kit for? What parts did you get? Its better to go on beyond.ca and ask for body shops. But I feel that all body shops are hit and miss. You're bound to find 1 or 2 customers that are unhappy even though they have a good track record. Good luck!

I bought the kit from JM Baggie at Online Mazda Parts which is an authorized Mazda dealer. Mazda has discontinued production of the Yellow MS Kit and I was told that since there isn't much demand for yellow and some other colors that they have replaced them with primered ones. Even the Mazda dealerships here in town can not get the Lightning Yellow kit anymore.

Slowlude, I paid just over $2100 U.S. for the front bumper, side skirts, and rear underspoiler. I didn't get the wing since I already have the stock spoiler and I don't want any visible holes showing.

Cheers

Interesting. I thought it was just a straight install. The pre-painted kit doesn't really match the rest of the body anyway. I see that the price hasn't really come down in the last few years. I thought the holes of the Mazdaspeed wing matches the holes of the stock wing? I could be wrong. You're going to have to come to the meets after this!

Okay for those of you who are skeptical about my kit being authentic, here's the reply I got from JM Baggie at Online Mazda Parts. I seriously doubt that he would jeopardize his reputation by getting replica parts.

Slowlude, I was told that the hole patterns on the MS wing do not match exactly those of the stock spoiler and as such, some holes will be visible. I started checking some of the local body shops in town and one of the shops who was highly recommended in some other boards is booking into end of September already -- good grief, that's almost 4 months away! Oh well, maybe I'll have the MS kit on in time for a Fall Meet...

Cheers

Sorry for the delay in response. I have been out of town for the past 4 days.

Answers in order of asked:

1- Yes they are OE Mazda Accessories. I am a Mazda dealer so all the parts listed on the sight are new Mazda parts.

2- They should fit without issue.

3- Best to order via the website using the following part#'s

Front cover- QSEA50020X1

Foglight bracket kit- QSEA5168Z

Rear cover-QSEA50360X1

Side sills- QSEA70900AX1

Rear spoiler- QSEA5196ZX

4-
5- The shipping charge to a residential address inside Canada will be 225.00 USD

6- The last word I got from Mazda on the BY Mazdaspeed parts is they have been discontinued and that Mazda has no plans to make them in that color again. The part#'s I listed are for the Primered Mazdaspeed Body kit parts.

Let me know if I missed anything.

Hello there!

Okay thanks. Just to confirm --- these are original Mazdaspeed body kit parts, right? So fitment should not be an issue? What's the best and fastest way to get my order going? Go online or phone you? These are the parts I would like to order:

MS Front Bumper (including fog light brackets)

MS Sideskirts

MS Rear underspoiler

I talked to a local Mazda dealership here and I was told that Mazda still makes the lightning yellow MS kit but since demand is not high, it would take several weeks, maybe months to manufacture if I ordered one. Did you get the same feedback from your source? Please advise.

Thanks,

Rico

It would take 2-4 days for me to get the parts in once ordered. Then @ 4-10 days to whereever you have me ship them.

Thanks for your reply. How long will it take for you to get the parts in? I'm still very much interested.

Regretfully Mazda discontinued the prepainted LY Mazdaspeed body kit parts. We can however get primered MS body kit parts. The primered kit without spoiler would run you 2168.00 at website price. Shipping on all the parts listed would be 150.00 to 200.00 to a commercial address. This would have to be to a commercial address. There would be customs and brokerage fees on this order. I would have to order the body kit. JMBaggie
