Official memo released this afternoon at Mazda Canada:

"ALL 6-speed RX-8's for the western region at port have been released and will be at your dealerships in short order"

There are April, May, and June production 8's sitting at port in Vancouver anyone with a car in this bunch will be driving it by the weekend!!!

The hold up was two things: The car hadn't passed Canadian EPA testing yet and Mazda had to re-release the engine specs listing the HP at 247 not 250.:D

 

And what about us in the east???

 

The memo I saw was for the western region only. It is possible there was a memo released in the east as well, but I can't confirm at this point.

 

There was a review in our local newspaper today, it said "available THIS month"!

 

May I now bow and say:
"You are welcome"

See what a few polite but insistent phone calls to Mazda Canada can accomplish?

 

Try calling them again! Maybe we'll get the cars in a couple of hours! :D

 

I sincerely doubt it!
However it was nice to see them respond at least a bit.

I hope to see my car early part of this week.
If not, I will have some choice words for them.

I leave the country for holidays on Friday. If I do not get to drive my car before then I will be P'ED OFF!
