Highbeam/DRL replacement?

Anyone where you can get Polarg H9 bulbs? Or ANY H9 bulbs at all?

I think my OEM highbeam blew since both of them didnt light up, and only one side came up as high beam - I hope its not the DRL mal-function...

Is there anyway to figure it out? Or the fact that one side high beam came out but not both means the DRL module is fine, its just the light bulb blew?

Thanks!

P.S: Reason I wanna get Polarg is the fact that Polarg is the aftermarket division of Koito, which is the OEM for rx8 light bulbs and HID systems...

Thanks...have you find a replacement bulb yet?

Only place I've seen that said "matching" OEM H9:
http://www.hoen-usa.com/plus.htm

I know there are tons of the JDM yo stuff e.g.: http://www.motivemods.com/MTEC-Super.../mte-sw-h9.htm

...all I need is a reliable and OEM HID colour matching highbeam.

Any suggestions will be much appreciated.

i was like you, kinda hoping that it was the DRL and get it replaced while still under warranty, but it turned out to be the light bulb, and i was at the dealership anyway, so scarboro gave me the rx8 discount for the overpriced work for the bulb, but at least it was taken care of

ic...OEM replacement for you then..=)

I don't want LED since I will lose the highbeam, and the H9 is really one of the most powerful "normal" bulb and I want to keep the light output...

I may wanna get this 65W Osram Ultra High from

Just get a bulb at Canadian Tire. That's the easiest place.
Hopefully it's just the bulb, but it can still be the DRL module.

Even if it is just the light. Hurry up and replace it as it may screw up the DRL module because IIRC the highbeam through the DRL is hooked up in series.

I had mine go and it ended up being the DRL module. Out of warranty. But I lucked out and picked one up on ebay cheap.

Thanks for the advices...I got a OEM H9 (Philips) instead since its the one got the most light output.

I tried to find the Philips Crystal Vision or something similar...only managed to find the H11 ones. The guy then told me its brigher than H9...which is BS.

if its the bulb just go the Canadian tire.....although this is a common problem of the DRL module! it is $125 at the dealership.-small blue box behind the glovebox. im betting on the module being the problem, mine had the same issue.
