Cool Hey?!

Hey, what up everyone?! Kay, this is my first post here at rx8forum, I've been reading alot of the threads here for the past weeks and I find it very helpful! I finally took the time today to register and be a part of this! I'm hoping to be one of the first to drive the RX-8 here in Vancouver! A brief bio about myself, I'm currently a student, Hong Kong origin, got my N 3 weeks ago and graduating from high school this year!GRAD '03!:p My parents pre-ordered a Mazda RX-8 for me beginning of May!(Major fan of imports!). I'm going for Blue GT 4AT Sports Mode, w/ Moonroof & Nav. Sys! I'm currently driving some beat up 91 Ford Mercury sedan, standard, and I'm still begging my mom to let me get the standard transmission RX-8!! But I kinda doubt she'll let me, coz she also wants to drive it as well! Just got one quick question, what does 4AT Sports Mode mean? Does it mean I still have to change gears myself thru the paddle shifters? or it's something I can turn on as an extra option?

Actually you have 3 shifting options included in the base car:

1. Let the auto transmission 'do its thing'

or put the gear selector in the manual mode and do either of the following:

2. Use the steering wheel paddle shifters
3. Use the +/- section of the gear selector.

nope, definitely not road-legal... well, it's not illegal to have them (i think), but deffinitely illegal to turn them on...

but why would you want to do something so cheesey to your new car anyways?? F&F is just retarded...

Actually, wasn't for me, plus I know my parents won't let me mod the car in anyway, ok maybe a spoiler! my friends and i were chillin' , i forgot the name of the shop, but they had neon lights on the wall inside the car section. We were trying to shop for a birthday gift for another guy. We were all thinking of chipping in to get the neon light, but then we didn't know whether it's actually legal to have neon lights here in BC. then we scrapped the idea and got a belt.!

and that was the first time i watched F&F, it was aiight, some parts were kinda stupid, if i was Vin, and i found out Brian was a cop, i'd be the crap out of him! i saw the trailer for 2F2F, alot of nice cars!

...i dunno about that... i think there unstupidest parts are the pans down from the sky, or across from a building to the characters at the beginning of a scene :p

aside from rice-movie bashing, they had some expensive, pretty quick cars... i just fear that the second movie will be even stupider when it comes to performance (naaaaaawwwwwwzzzzz... "crank your wing angle to +45 degrees for best straight line performance!!" ...sheesh...)

FnF is the biggest pos movie that did such a huge disservice to the import scene... shakes head.. Every dumbass kid after that wanted "nawz" for their pos overnight, never mind the proper engine precautions and tuning.. sigh.. Neon lights.. double sigh.. I'm cranky today. :p
