Help -- Wheel Nuts

Hey guys,

over the winter I seem to have lost/misplaced my lug nuts for my OEM summer wheels and tires. Are they universal for all cars?

Anyone know where to get them and how much they will run me?

Canadian Tire?

Thanks!

Not all lug nuts are the same. Thread size, pitch and seat type vary.

RX8 OEM lug nuts are metric 12mm x 1.50 thread pitch lug nuts with a acorn/tapered seat, i believe.

1. Find a store that sells wheels.
2. Walk in to that store and ask for lug nuts for your car. (They'll know which ones you need)
3. Feel silly for making a thread about this.

Ah qtwre,
Always good for a laugh. lol

Funny enough, my bro is in need of lug nuts for his wife's 3. The 3 base steelies came with awful lug nuts. They're not the same type they use on the aluminum wheels. He got a quote from the dealer. $120 for 20 lug nuts!
Suffice to say I think he's going to have a chat with our sales guy. lol

I went through several iterations of that post to reduce the sarcasm. But the steps outlined were what I did (sans step 3). I went to Tires23 and bought some nuts.

I forget how much they were. Not a lot. They just have a whole bunch of them and put some in a bag for me.

Wheel & Tire Zone has a Toronto location. They'd have nuts too. Canadian Tire might but I've never checked.
