Guess we made the right decision
And I quote from a person who was there!
You would NOT have enjoyed the weather. Not only was it bitterly cold and brutally windy (especially on the Start Stand from 8 till 6 both days) but it SNOWED Sunday afternoon. The poor Vees had skating rink conditions because they were so light they couldn't get any heat in their tires. There were 42 Touring Cars - amazing - and we were all set to let them go from Pace lap 2 (2 cars spun on Pace Lap 1 I guess because they didn't have snow tires - you think I'm joking) when we had to red flag it - the power went out. A canopy weighted down by a fuel container filled with water took off and wrapped itself around the power lines, bringing them and all the electrics at SMP down. DAC (yay) rigged up a generator or two in about 5 mins and the race was on. Good racing - a few casulaties. Sprints were good too except on the last corner of the last Sprint race the 9 car took out the 240 - shame - and it got messy. Ahmad's okay, but his car is very sad. Whole back end broken. It was unneccessary and avoidable and complex, and not handled well at the enquiry level. IMHO.
Great weekend. G*dAwful weather. Varac should be better. Please.

Damn, glad I didn't go. I talked to my parents Sunday and they had to leave the cottage as well because of the snow showers.
Oh well, next race it is!
