My car is spotless as usual but Id find some dirt to drive through if it was worth it, but in this case I have other plans after I stop by Yorkdale unfortunately.

Well, I know a few RX-8 owners always show up with some dirt on their car... surely they'll be able to get a car wash out of the girls...

Other people keep their rides clean all the time... they'll show up for moral support!

The sweetiegirlracing car wash seems (according to the lil poster) to run from 11am to 4pm.

If we meet at 2pm at Yorkdale, I assume we wont leave from Yorkdale until at least 2:30 (and if I know 8/7 drivers, people probably wont show up until 3pm...) so we will likely miss it.

I might just meet you guys over there. (especially if you are going to UofT first...)

Neo you bastard, unless you want to be molested by the goonsquad for the entire duration of the trip to Buffalo, you will be with me

Sounds like a busy day! I'll definitely be showing up, although I may not be able to attend for the whole afternoon. The GF has some plans for us tomorrow, and I'm going to try to get most of it done throughout the morning. Freeing up a few hours in the afternoon should be pretty doable. Have we agreed on a meet time (changing to 1 instead of 2?)? Hopefully the weather will hold out. Not too sure if I should detail the ride, or just give it a quick clean up in case we stuck in the rain! I hate spending 5-6 hours cleaning the car and have it rain the as soon as I take it out!!

Hey guys,

I went to Yorkdale and it was raining so I went inside to pickup some stuff I needed, I figured it would let up, when I got back out it was pouring, I didnt plan on staying long because I had a ton of other stuff to get done and I figured since it was pouring everybody who might have showed up would have left anyway so I just took off, talk about shitty weather, wasnt it supposed to be sunny all weekend!

I thought it was at 2PM. In any event, got up this morning, detailed the car for the meet. Left at 1ish and then it started to come down, side ways!!!

Stopped in to futureshop to pick something up and figured no one would show because the rain went on for an hour. I figured no one would show.

Anybody make it? And if so, did it pour there as well and what did you guys do?

Of course we made it -we said we would,3-RX8s,2FDs and a 750cc V-4 Honda motorcycle. We sat in the rain for a while, some of us(myself and the motorcycle)ran over to Pickering in the rain, limiting in our speed to 200km/h.We took in the dyno/lady drivers meeting including a dyno run for a 03 Protege.
I went home to watch the Moto GP from Laguna Seca!

I tought there would be a dozen 8's there if there was sun. But onece it started to come down I thought everyone would turn back.

I drove past Yorkdale on the way to North York for some errands.. was going to stop by, but the rain was coming down pretty hard at the time.. when I was driving up Yonge, it seriously started dumping, sideways even, with some hail thrown in for good measure..
pulled into an Esso for shelter for a bit - next to a Benz and a Beemer with the same idea..

Yep, some of us hooked up even though it looked like a mansoon season out there!!

Too bad, because as Tlovr knows, it was nice and sunny up by Aurora... As you looked to the south you can see the big dark/blue clouds coming in from the West.
I was in the 7 when I got onto the main street to give me a better view of the situation. I quickly turned around, put the car back in the garage, and took the 3 down!

It was suppose to be for 2pm, but we moved it up to 1pm. The rain kept coming down regardless of the time change. Some of us waited till 1:50ish or so and then we made our way to the Sweetie Girl Charity event.

It wasn't a total lose and I'm sure we would have had a better turn out if the weather held up. But that's the way the cookie crumbles...

Till next time!

It was sunny up in Stouffville too, but I had seen the rain down south in the morning so I dropped out of the meet. Too bad.

I just finished cleaning the car when the rain started falling.. Could not bring myself to get it all dirty just after cleaning it so I stayed home and waited out the rain.

When is the next meet???
