Good or Bad Quote? - Vancouver
Good or Bad Quote? - Vancouver
Just got a quote today from Signature Mazda for the GT w/ moonroof. $41,000 (plus GST and PST). The salesman told me that's the best price I could get anywhere guaranteed. I read on the threads here that some got $39,500 or somthing? Let me know where is the best place to go for the best price on the RX-8 in Vancouver. Thanks!
That is MSRP on the GT. I think as this point of the game you can definitely get lower, especially if it's a 2004.
I personally don't like Signature Mazda, their salepeople are horrible.

I'd rather not say who I was dealing with but I was kind of surprised to hear that I would only get several hundred dollars off the MSRP. Which dealership is the best to go to in Vancouver? What were some of the quotes Vancouverites have had on a GT?
hey knikerz, 41K before taxes is WAY too much to pay. I'm in the process of hammering out a deal for a similar car and so far i'm at 42.5K WITH TAXES (mind you i'm in calgary). I'm aiming for 42K including taxes.
I'm sure you'd be able to get a similar deal. I think that you would be able to get a bit more leverage if you knew another owner of an 8 from Vancouver that bought it recently and say to the dealer "Hey my buddy Mr.X bought it from you for XYZ, give me the same deal". That's what I did and that got the dealers sweating.
Here's a thread that might give you a hand in pricing.

So you're getting a price that's around 39,000 then pre-tax, with all the stuff like freight and what not in... could probably work that amount out of a vancouver dealer especially now that the 05's are almost here.
Well, I really liked the guys at Signature Mazda, although it does seem they're pretty inflexible on price. For non-RX8's, they're the only dealership that has a Tires for Life policy where you can get free tires for the life of your car. I didn't even get my 8 there, and I'm taking it there for Service. I showed up the other day to say hi to the sales guy that I dealt with, to show him the car I got, and he was super happy for me, even took it around back to get it washed and the tires prettied up.
You could probably walk in, ask for a 39K price pre tax, and get it for around 45K all in (GST+PST inc)...rough numbers.
Used ones are hard to find in the Vancouver Area.
