Pffff, I drive to and from Mississauga every day for work. What, is gas expensive these days? Do our cars use more then their fare share of gas?

I will be ordering the Mazdaspeed springs. I can possibly order them in Sept. At least have them and get them installed after the winter season.
Maybe then I'll be able to afford the other Mazdaspeed parts.
I corrected your post!

Last call on Thursday for fluids or Idemitsu Premix.

Last call tomorrow for JDM, Mazda and Mazdaspeed Parts.

Pros,

I'm looking to start really early. I've got plans for dinner later in the day. So if we're going to run into any trouble it's best that we get cracking early. I've got to leave your place no later than 2:30pm.

So starting at 10:30 or even 10am would be ideal.

How's everyone for an early start??

Sorry guys. But the earlier, the better. Besides, you know what happens when we get together. We say 10am and we don't start doing **** till 12pm!

11am is alright. I can live with that.

DUDE STAY AWAY from ROYAL PURPLE, it's terrible for the tranny. The tranny requires GL4 fluid, Royal Purple's Maxgear crap which they say works for both tranny and diff is a GL4/GL5 mixture. The GL5 additives will screw your tranny leading to gear whine and then to it's death. A quick search on the forum will reveal how ppl had to get their trannys replaced due to Royal Purple, and CDN dealers are less forgiving ( cept Al, but his hands are tied by Mazda Canada). With your Royal Purple your going to be getting a new tranny, except it's no longer paid for by your warranty. Also you need 1.4 quarts for diff fluid, and 1.8 to 1.9 quarts of tranny fluid, it's works out to three bottles, two bottles and a bit.

Anyway that's my two cents, trying to recommend the best foe your car, but on the end it's still your car, so your call. PM WCS, local guy from Orangeville about his horrors with Royal Purple.

And once again dude, change your tranny fluid first, it's probably on worse shape then your diff, since everytime you shift you get metal slivers flaking off.

My advice return the Royal Purple, go with Redline. I'm headin to Sauga, so let me know by tomorrow morning by posting of you want the fluids or not.

I plan to do the transmission first. It needs to be done.

Edit #2 - I hear what you are saying, but I am still researching. I haven't found solid proof yet a tranny died soley because of RP being put in. I have found a lot of posts claiming issues with cold gear engagement with redline oil (which worries me a bit since I am an all-season car). Do you have this problem at all? I'm still researching. I am going to keep two bottles of the RP for sure to do the rear differential after the tranny fluid. How much for just the redline transmission oil?
