First GTA meet in 2011 proposal.
Haven't seen any GTA meets since the weather turned cold.
Anyone interested in a meet around the Vaughan area? It's central so everyone can show up. I am thinking bowling at Luck Strikes in Vaughan Mills Mall (It's a nice place so you can bring the ball and chain).
Friday Jan 7th at 8:30pm. The early notice should allow you to book the day, so no excuses people!
If people enough people are interested we could grab some grub in the area at 7pm?
I know a lot of cars are packed away for the winter, but that's OK.. We get to laugh at the winter beaters.
Alternate destination suggestions are welcome.
Any interest?

Ahhh I'll miss the meet that day as I'll be at work all night =( !
on another note : might lose the Maxima as a winter beater and switch to a Matrix XRS =D ! I'm getting really really really bored of this whole automatic transmission deal lol.

RIP Mx-3. Hello Rx-8!
How do you find your matrix in the snow? I know a few people with Matrix/Vibes that have changed to running a narrower tire for better bite in the winter... something about the tire being a bit too large for the weight of the car.
We traded in the 2WD version of the Matrix for the 4WD version just this past summer. The 2WD sucked goo-***** and snot in the snow. I have a buddy with a 2WD Vibe (basically the same car) and he suffers as well - he has found that a very slack suspension (meaning, shocks that have lost all their stiffness and really ought to be replaced) has helped the car. As for the 4WD version, reports from the field suggest it's good in the slick stuff. So far - like last night on the frozen, ice roads of Elora - it's been good.

I'm thinking about making the trek down to TO sometime in the spring (once the summer tires are back on). If I time my trip to attend one of your get togethers, am I likely to find three rotaries in a parking lot somewhere or closer to 20?
