Fall Season drive: Forks of the Credit
C'mon Kafka. I'm not bringing my girlfriend, I didn't even know we were supposed to bring dates. You should still come.
I meant to ask this earlier, is anyone bringing a 2 way radio? I'll bring mine, it is the best way to keep in contact during a cruise.

-2 C this morning
I am still on summers. Last night it went down to about 4 C... even something as simple as making a left turn at an intersection with a little bit of extra throttle on first gear and the tires were losing grip...
Thankfully, it's going up to 12 C this afternoon so it should be better, but just to err on the safe side, a friendly reminder if you're still running summers to keep that at the back of your mind always when driving today.

To wash the car in colder weather. Follow these guidelines
1) Use a bucket of hot water.
2) Wear $1 dollar store thin magic gloves. These are basic 100% cotton/spandex gloves. They are one size fits all.
3) Wear a slightly oversized rubber dish washing glove on top of that.
4) If it is below 0, wash and dry by section
- roof, windows, side mirror
- hood, front fender, bumper
- trunk, rear bumper
- side and rear quarter panel
Important tip: To dry the car faster, when you're done blasting the car with water to remove the soap, take the pressure head off. Then use a low to medium stream of water directly from the hose and go close to the body panels for a rinse. The water will clump together and more of it will flow off the surface. The pressure hose blast leaves too much splashing of water droplets around.
