If anyone wants to meet befor ethe Woodbine and Hwy 7 point, we could meet the Garden Basket Plaza Lot at 16th and Markham Road. This is realy aimed at Hoser, Thumper and Thief, since they are coming from the East Side. Let me know. Thumper all you do is take Westney or Whatever parallel road up to Hwy 7, follow it to Ninth Line, go up on Ninth, you'll hit 16th, and than we're be there at the next Intersection. Let me know guys.

Hoser, did you pick up Socom yet? PS3 ID is: Prospect_PS.
I'm too hooked on GTA 4 still. So much to do in multi player mode.

I'll meet you at the GB. What time? 11:00, 11:30?

You guys can do what you want prior to the cruise. The meet points and the times are specified and will not be deviated.

As long as we adhere to the schedule, we will make it from meet point #1 to meet point #2 in 30 minutes.

Are you implying that you and others will try your best to purposely deviate from the plan?

BTW, there is a farm field on The Grange Side Road, I just checked, but if we pull a head a bit deeper into the road (past a small river), we should be clear of him. you can **** freely into the river hahahah

I start from STC and go on 401 to 404 north, exit on hwy 7 and go east a bit.

I don't think I'm along the same way as you guys are since you are all going to Hwy 7 to begin with and heading west towards woodbine.

well it makes sense for footman, to meet us, didn't he say he hates the 401, so he might as well come up here.

I still wager that we won't get to la paloma by half hour, so if your gambling man, wager me.

Too late to sign up? Will know if I can make it by Sat noon or so, hope that isn't too late of a notice.

A scenic drive would be nice about now.

First post contains those who are confirmed going. If you are not on the list, pm me no later than Saturday midnight 23:59 with your name and contact number. I'm going to have that list on the day to check off those who made it and those who bailed last minute.

pm'd you footman. and the cruise looks awesome. Cant wait. one more question though. Ive noticed that the temps have been getting very cold quickly, even mid day when i leave the dealership lot to get lunch, its cold enough that if i get on the gas, you dont know what to expect. some times ill leave the lot right sideways "unintentionally", other times its a nice clean exit...just wondering if switching to my winters would be good, or if the cruise will be airing on the side of caution. i just dont want to be left behind. haha.

The cruise will be airing on the side of caution always. We wouldn't want anyone to get hurt. It is recommended that speed limits are to be followed, but then again, I cannot control your actions.

I will be at the cruise on my summer tires. The driving between the meet points 1 and 2 should be sufficient time to warm up the tires. As long as you don't go nuts, your summer tires should still hold out no problem near speed limits on those roads this Sunday.

I will be changing to winters after this cruise. Next Tuesday morning is calling for -2 C.

Remember that we won't be racing or doing any sort stunts like that. The purpose of the fall cruise is just that.. to enjoy the spirit of driving, feel the cool breeze as it brushes against your face, and observe the beauty of nature as it sheds its cover and prepares for the next season.

Jay,

Meet point 1 to Meet point 2

The distance is 18.4 km. The speed limit is 80 kph on Hwy 7. If I am travelling at speed limit and assuming I can maintain that speed consistently, I can cover 40 km distance in 30 minutes.

Thinking another way, if I only have 30 minutes to cover 18.4km, I only need to be travelling at an average speed of 36.8 kph on Hwy 7. That's even slower than Corolla speeds.

Some more facts:
- we are expecting Sunday traffic
- departure time from meet point 1 to meet point 2 is 13:00. assuming peak lunch hour is noon for most people, which means people are usually driving on on their way to lunch around 11:30. At 13:00, people's cars are parked at their destination as they enjoy their food.
- nobody drives 80 km/h on Hwy 7. nobody. The only way speed on Hwy 7 falls below 80 km/h is during rush hour from Mon-Fri. We are almost gauranteed speeds in excess of 80 km/h is available.
- Last big fact: I work 36 km away from work on a very similar route. It takes me 1 hour to get to/from work during rush hour on Mon-Fri! So I see no reason why I cannot cover 18.4 km in 30 minutes on Sunday.

From all these facts, and barring no major road closures/corolla accidents that block 3 lanes, I am confident that we can make La Paloma within 30 minutes from meet point 1 to meet point 2.
