Fall Season drive: Forks of the Credit
#26
Okay, I am going to share one of my secret roads in Ontario with you all. It runs from Severn Bridge to Bala. Its called Southwood Rd. It is 33km that makes the forks of the credit seem like a liitle laneway. It has more blind switchbacks than you can imagine, its almost as much fun as Mosport! I have never seen an OPP on it and rarely another car. I go up there twice a year in something fun (RX8 or Mspeed 6). It is truly an amazing drive, you need lots of concentration and you will be tired when you finish! If you were to have an asphalt rally stage, this would be the place to do it!
If Al likes it then it's gotta be good! Never done it personally.

929-1150, is that the number I can reach you at? Since you're from georgetown, you must know the roads well. Would you plot it on google to show us?
As for leading, none of us have really met you before eh?

I'd love to tell you exactly where. But all I got was hard left, sharp corner, careful jump, 3 right, careful snow banks, keep left, caution ditch....end of stage.
Hook with some folks as Maple Leaf Rally. They might indulge some information.

I just realized I actually had a different login. I am reposting under my proper username. Damn computer viruses!
Either way....
Count me in. I live in Oakville and would really enjoy this as my car goes away for the season November 1st.

Just to clear, if you are interested, please use the word "interested". I'm continually updating the first post to show the list. If you wrote here, and you aren't on the list, and you are interested that's because I've interpreted what you wrote as "vague", and aren't interested enough to say so.
I like to be precise.

Thanks for being precise people
Champion pumpkin carver... I'd really like to see that one! I'll bring some candles and a lighter, we have to put the light inside the pumpkin, and pose them together.

Leaves are already starting to change color. How does Sunday, October 12 sound?

I suggest we do it in a NON long weekend October. I would love to combine this with a GTA Rx8 meet in Scarboro Mazda...if we can.
Hang out in the morning, then drive and bbq / late lunch after the run...
Or we can seperate the two events. I just think it will get more value if we can combine it.
Its about 70km from Scarboro Mazda to Forks of Credit...
