Engine Mounts

I just brought my RX-8 in for a oil change and tire rotation and found out that I need new engine mounts (car vibrates in reverse). Windsor Mazda is quoting $500 for 2 rubber mounts installed. This sounds quite a bit over priced, anyone know how much work goes into replacing the mounts?

They should be covered under warranty. I think they are covered under the engine core warranty

Engine warranty covers the internals only to my knowledge.

Only full bumper to bumper warranty covers engine mounts.

I'd go after market and get it done by a local garage.

If your car has under 100k and 5 years it will be covered. It happened to me, found out cause the vibration after a while losened the radio wires. It was covered. 500.00 is actually cheaper then they first quoted me before they decided to cover it under warranty. They actually wanted 1k, for mountings and brakets.
