Driver side factory floor mat installed???

I picked-up my 07 RX8 a month ago...does anyone know if the driver side floor mat should have a metal/plastic hook which gets inserted into the existing hole on the floor mat? I noticed there is a plastic hole plug, but no hook installed onto the chassis underneath the driver seat. FYI, I currently have the Mazda dealer investigating into this.

Yes, a small post is under the drivers seat to hold the mat in place. At least there is on mine.

I was told it was a dealer install supposed to be done during vehicle delivery.

Well it's no surprise the dealer I bought the car from forgot to do it. At least they remembered to not send me home with a bent key!

Yes it should be installed by the dealer before they give the car to you.

Check your glove box...that's where mine was!

lol seems to be a pretty common thing. I also got my car without it installed. I think I still have it sitting in the glove box.
