Curved Vane
This rotor is upgraded from OE straight vane to curved vanes as we deem necessary for performance, as most people are aware that curved vanes pump more air and keep disc cooler than straight vanes, however the curved vane discs are “directional” meaning left and right discs are different and requires two sets of tooling instead of just one set in the case of straight vanes.

Well it really depends on how you drive the car Leesha.
Mine OEM brake pads were on for 5 years and really didn't need changing when I did them ....
I was just wanting to upgrade the brake pads, rotors and brake lines ...
More for aesthetics and performance than anything else.

Any thoughts on the pros and cons of each product:
1) Stock (I did manage to warp the fronts once on the track but that was my fault)
2) PowerSlot
3) the Racing Brake that DarkBrew got
4) Centric (Look like the cheapest option)
Which ones would hold up best on the track? Quality of materials? I know that generally you get what you pay for.
Anyone know if any of them are incompatible with Carbotech pads (really like those pads and don't want to switch), I remember seeing something on Racing Brake Rotors and Carbotech pads not being compatible.

Just let me know... I want my thingy's painted red too...lol
Just by hearing Leesha naming the calipers "thingy's", you know you'll be in for an interesting install! lol
The rotors I was talking about are the same ones Darkbrew has mentioned.
Looks like Darkbrew is the man to talk too to get these parts cheaper (?).
The Miata now has 82k on the clock. Its been on the track once and my daily driving style wears out parts fast. The car will be receiving new rubber in the new season.
And I'm starting to worry about the brakes. They're starting to show signs of wear. Although they feel fine.
When I was swapping the tires out, I did notice the vanes are starting to show some give. I wouldn't be surprised if I have to do brakes next season.
We should have a spring "maintenance" meet! Get lots of regular maintenance done ready for the new season!

wcs,
I like the subtle innuendo. lol
Leesha,
You're in need of tires? We could probably get a discount if we gather up people. Hell, they'll probably give us a discount if its just us 2.
Either way, I'm going to need tires in the new season.

Leesha managed to distract our already limited capacity to think...
Anyone has any thoughts?
Where is Mr. Balinsky when you need him

I'm curious what the average mileage people are going on the stock pads before they need a change?
I'm at 67K (no track) and my fronts are down to about 2mm, so need to be changed soon.

i've machined my rotors twice now they are quite thin but have had a few track days with the slicks and they've yet to warp. but have noticed they over heat quicker.
ive been at track days and seen the hawk ceramics smoke and fade while the rest of us were fine. im unsure if they guy couldnt drive and was over using his brakes would love to get your opinion after a track day or two andrew.

PowerSlot is also suppose to be a good brand... but I've never heard of Centric.
Will have to upgrade my brakes at some point... I'm rolling around on some cheap ebay rotors at the moment (made by a company in Newmarket). Oddly enough, they've been pretty decent so far.. not bad for 200 bucks for all 4 :D
