Daytime Running Light change....
Changed out the DRLs for 85w H11s from 'nlmotoring' on e-bay.
High beams are now WAY brighter, and also quite blue like the HIDs.
But the DLRs are now LESS bright....should not be a surprise really, the factory ones where 65w (Phillips) and would be brighter, given a lower voltage. (65w running at 40w for daytime = maybe 50% brightness, where 85w given 40w = barely lit, though still quite blue.)
So given that the daytime brightness is somewhat irrelevant, I think I will keep the 85 watters!
Did manage to change both sides thru the engine bay, only had to remove the ECU's cover.
Have included this crappy picture, the brightness completely overwhelmed my digital camera, and you cannot see any difference.....(clue, the new blue is on the left of the frame!)
