Dave's Garage Open House

Hey guys,

My buddy/mechanic Dave is hosting an open house at his shop on Sunday April 24th at 11am.
His shop is located at 2470 Royal Windsor Dr, Oakville, L6J 1Y3.
There is going to be BBQ and drinks and prizes.
The event is mainly a Miata function as that is what he specializes in but he is a great mechanic, he does all of the work on my car which includes both maintenance and modifications.
If you have nothing else going on come check it out, there should be some cool cars there.

Oh cool..... not too far from where I am. I'l be in need of a mechanic once my extended warranty runs out on my RX8 in June. It would be great if he really knew the ins and outs of our bloody complicated Rotaries because the Mazda mechanics are dumbfounded most times and it takes 2 -3 tries before they fix anything right. Its too tiring.... Does he do aftermarket brakes and exhaust? I know those are coming up for me in the next few months....

He did all of my brakes and my Greddy exhaust install.
He also installed my BHR coils, my MS CAI and recently did my ACT clutch and BHR flywheel.
I live in Oshawa but I drive to Oakville because I trust him.
His rates are great and he stands behind his work. He does tons of cars for the Miata community, everything from basic maintenance to turbo and superchargers installs. He is actually going to be dropping an LS1 into his 2009 Miata next winter.

The BHR coils are good, I didn't notice a huge difference but I had recently replaced my spark plugs before doing the coils and I don't think my coils were completely gone. The car did feel a little smoother than before but I don't know if it was a placebo effect or not.
If your car has high mileage it's probably not a bad thing to do.
Dave will be installing a Walbro 255lph fuel pump for me in two weeks and he's going to clean the sensors for the self levelling HID's as I always have the warning light on now and Mazda wants around $1000 for the two sensors.

I will be in attendance on the 24th, I love the sound of the Greddy, I actually bought this one from Eric (qtwre), whom I knew from the Miata club years ago, and Dave took the exhaust off of his car and installed it on mine.

Just realized that this open house is on Easter Sunday!! I am pretty sure I'll be able to make it for an hour or so, but not sure how many others will be able to make it on that date. Let me know if the date changes.....

I know, I didn't realize it at first either. Dave says he has a lot of Miata guys who have confirmed that they are coming.
I don't have to be at my wife's families Easter until latewr that day so I will be there.
I just hope that the weather clears up and we have a nice day.
