Cool news from BFGoodrich
I was speaking to my BFGoodrich sponsor this morning and he informed me of some really cool new products coming this spring! The G-Force KDW is being replaced with a BFG version of the Michelin Super Sport! It will be 15% lower in price that the current KDW and will be far longer lasting and stickier the the current KDW street/track tire.
For the AutoX and Time Attack racers they are releasing a new G-Force R1S that is a much softer comppound that the road race R1 and heats up incredibly quickly!
We will be running both these tires on selected vehicles this summer!

I think a few of you got to drive in my Scion TC with the Michelin Super Sports on it. The tire is as quiet as a luxury passenger tire with the grip close to a "R" compound tire.

Good news but I can't imagine how the KDW replacement will be even longer lasting; mine have around 50k on them (and a few track sessions). Looking at the thread - they will easily go another 30k but are nowhere near the StarSpec in terms of grip levels & making me feel like a helicopter pilot (noise).

Is this the street tire you were talking about?

"The KDW is also outperformed by the Comp-2 in BFG's testing, with the new tire displaying better grip and ride characteristics. While this may sound like the KDW is making way for the Comp-2, BFG says it doesn't plan to replace its flagship performance street tire anytime soon."

We were told by BFG about 3 weeks ago that they were not continuing with our sponsorship packages for 2012. The decision came from above my contact at BFG it wasnt his decision. I am therefore not privy to any of the information that I had before. From what my understanding was there were going to be 3 new tires introduced but maybe they have scaled that back etc. I was under the impression that it was going to be called a KDW another was a Sport.
