So anyone have the real scoop?

THere is 700 for Canada this year. Probably because mazda figures non will sell during the winter.

So should we see some more cars rolling in April/May 2004?

I suspect this would make sense. That way mazda gets teh sales for 2004 summer. If they wait for the 05 model it won't be until sept 04 then they miss 2 summers???

My dealer, says you can't buy in the spring..... buy NOW. I think he just wants to sell NOW!

 

I agree that it's assinine to think they won't deliver another batch in early 04. An article in the Star a couple weeks back quoted a Mazda rep saying no new cars after the first 700 until Sep 04. That just doesn't make any sense... I'd hate to think it's just a ploy to get people to put their money down now, but hey if it walks like a duck, talks like a duck... it's a freaking duck!

 

Just talked to my dealer, he told me just that, they won't be getting anymore cars till sept 04.

Want to keep the car "exclusive" so the value doesn't drop??

Yet in the mean time, in the US there will be one on every block?? Zah?

Maybe mazda assumes us canadians with our igloos and such would only drive the RX8 in the summer. As a result only 700 are needed a year!

I want mine all year, I can't afford a $40,000 FUN car! It will be my ONLY car.

If this is true and I am unable to purchase an RX8, I'll get a TSX, screw mazda.
