mine makes a slight noise, but they said its fine, they inspected the bracket and dont see any cracking. So i dunno who to trust. Can we meet up one day for you to have a listen and say if its similar to what you had?

Just go and tell them your clutch pedal dropped to the floor you had to pump ot a couple times and it works but now is squeaking a lot more, mention the recall. I went yesterday and they were going to charge me diagnosing fee so I said forget it. Called me back today and got it done in 45 minutes. Get that **** checked braa!

Same thing happened to me. I even mentioned the extended recall. THeyre like oh its fine and lubricated it and it stopped squeaking. A few km after it starts again. When are they gonna replace it ?? When it snaps in the middle of the 401

The spring ends stick through little plastic bushings into the sheet metal sides of the bracket. I find that even with a good bracket, some squeaks can come from there as the spring ends rotate in the hole. A little moly lube there took care of the problem, for me anyway.

they installed a new clutch pedal assembly. shifts a lot more smoother than before the engagement point is pretty much the same, but you can always adjust it...

just take the clutch pedal out and weld it. its free if you have a welder, or very cheap to have done. it will be cheaper to pay someone to weld it than to buy a re-enforcement bracket
