Chipped windshield....

Hey guys,

So I was driving on the highway and a stone from a car hit my windshield putting a tiny crack in it! I was gonna run to Apple Auto Glass to fix it, but it will run me approx. $70 plus tax.

Do you guys know a cheaper palce that won't compromise on quality?

Thanks and God bless.

Ben.

This is my "goto" guy in the Meadowvale/Lawrence area for windshield chips.

Ron Tordoff
416-802-8772

He is a retired glass guy who works out of his garage in his home. If I recalled correctly from my last conversation, he was in Electrical Engineering or something, and was a specialist for big telecom in doing heavy duty circuit work before switching to auto industry. He got a family business and started to be in the business for auto glass repair since the 80's.

Tell him Joshua from the rx8club referred you and he will hook you up with a good price.

Most of the big brand glass companies (Apple, Standard) are $70+ per chip, but he is cheaper than that, and you will get a receipt - with a 6 months warranty.

His craftsmanship (yes it is) is excellent. Apple / Standard may have multi million dollar machine but the tech there have a wide spread of experience.

Ron has worked in those shops before and once you see him work you know he knows his craft.

Its a bit far for you since hes in Port Union and stopped mobile work due to his wife's sickness, however, for the peace of mind its definitely worth it.

Hope this helps.

DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT believe in this crap. This only gives them reason to rape you a new one in next review.

Only time you wanna claim insurance is when a)you wanna commit an insurance fraud, and b)the repair cost so much that even your own "TARP" cannot afford.

my insurance also went up 15% recently on renewal... I think everyone went up as recently they said that some sort of "freeze" is no longer in effect. Some bill was passed several years ago to freeze hikes... but it expired this year.
