Cant Wait....
To take my car out this year. It's in storage and mother nature started to give me hope until yesterday. She decided to drop a foot of snow.
Anyone else here store there rides ? .... when are you going to unleash yours?

I haven't been fitted with winter tires, but i've taken her out a few times when the roads were clear. I went out for lunch on Sunday with my folks. I waited about 20 minutes for a table. Just as we were getting seated, I saw a few snow flakes fall. Hmm... didn't think much of it. Sat down to eat, saw more snow falling... much harder. Not too concerned yet. 45 minutes later I'm heading back to my car.... shiiieeeet, it's covered in snow. I was not prepared for what had just happened, as i never intended to be caught in snow.
NO SNOWBRUSH, of course. i guess the windshield was ok since i had wipers, but all the other windows were covered with wet snow. Oh, and I also saw a red 8 at the same plaza as I was circling the parking lot looking for a good spot... didn't see the driver, I wonder if it was anyone from here :s

Gaels, I would wait for the next rain, I'm keep my car in the garage now till it rains again, they poured sooo much salt on the roads after the snow on Monday it's ridiculous my beater car was clean and is again WHITE!
Suppose to rain Thursday, of course suppose to snow friday so they might freakin' salt again!

I'm probably going to put the insurance back on the car for the begining of April, and watch the weather in the meantime. It's still dropping below zero at night so snow is still possible.
I'm waiting for the snow to stop and then a couple really good rainfalls to wash all that salt away. "Only then will the 8 come out and play!"

I have been driving mine for about 3 weeks, I only had to put my baby away for Sunday and Monday (Mar 7-8) morning because of the snow. What a beautiful car. She gets regular washings to remove any salt. I have not waxed it yet, but if it gets much warmer, watch out!

Cwsmith, did you buy your car in Cornwall?
It's not the paint that salt sucks with, it's the engine compartment and underside, brakes rotors, wheels it all gets rusty. If it's not too most (ie dry salt) it doesn't do as much damage.
